A little bit more about the history:
In 1922, Joseph L. Rosenfield began selling several kinds of peanut butter in California to make it possible for everyone to cook the peanut butter cookies. This peanut butter was churned as butter, so it turned out more homogeneous than the peanut butter made today. Soon he received the first patent for peanut butter production, which remained fresh for a whole year thanks to the special technology. One of the first companies that mastered this technological process was the company Swift & Company. Two years later Rosenfield created the first crunchy peanut butter, adding chopped peanuts into creamy peanut butter at the end of the production process.
